The Restaurant

Over the years, Ferme de Montagne has built a reputation for Michelin level food you can eat every day. Light, wonderfully flavoured and outstanding in quality, all our food is prepared in our kitchen with an emphasis on making as much as we can ourselves. This includes home-made mueslis and granolas, jams, yogurts and fruit compotes. Local sourcing is important to us and our charcuterie, meats and cheeses all come from local suppliers

Our dining area is set out as a restaurant and provides our guests with an intimate relaxed fine dining experience. Resident guests are given free choice of individual table dining or group dining with other guests, should they choose to do so.

We have a strong commitment to outstanding food, health and well-being. Our menus change daily and always include light, interesting and innovative dishes – French influenced, of course! There is always several choices of entrees, main courses deserts and local cheeses, and of course we are also happy to cook your favourite dishes for you on request. We also have tasting menus with the option of matching wines, chosen by our sommelier.

We use locally sourced meat, poultry and dairy products, so our produce is always of the freshest, highest quality and locally sourced.

Over the last three years we have introduced spelt flour as our principle bread and cake ingredient, we also use spelt in our risotto, and our home-made granola.

Why spelt? Spelt contains special carbohydrates (Mucopolysaccharides) which are an important anticoagulant and are good at stimulating the body’s immune system. It is also an excellent source of fibre with large amounts of B complex vitamins, to help keep the gut in good working order.

We source our spelt products from Sharpham Park, a 300 acre organic estate set deep in the Somerset countryside.

We also welcome external diners to come and join our resident guests in our restaurant, or if you prefer you can dine in a little more privacy in our Library which seats up to eight. Bookings for external diners are essential – Contact Us on restaurant@fermedemontagne.com.
